What is Other Voices?

Other Voices Diversity Leadership is our signature diversity, equity and inclusion program. This community-building curriculum brings together individuals from all life experiences to engage in frank and open dialogue to build insight and understanding of the roots of prejudice.

The program runs from September through April. Applications are open now for the 2024 class.

Other Voices Executive Program

Designed to rally the business community, the Other Voices Executive Program helps advance diversity and inclusion within the workplace by bringing together CEOs and C-Suite executives in Guilford County to leverage their individual and collective voices for positive change.

 

Change Agent Award

Awarded annually, the Change Agent Award recognizes and rewards community members who go above and beyond in their civic and service-oriented work to create a more equitable community.

Ideal candidates serve out of a personal mission to be inclusive change agents and empower others, process facilitators, and understand and use the power of vision.

How to Apply

Other Voices Diversity Leadership Program

Tuition

Tuition covers eight months of programming that includes full-day intensive training sessions once a month and three 2-day retreats. Tuition is $1,500 for Chamber members; $1,700 for all other individuals.

Application Criteria

Our selection committee chooses participants based on the information provided in their application. We are looking for individuals who:

  • Represent a cross-section of the community in profession and life experience
  • Demonstrate a sincere commitment to improving human relationships
  • Express genuine concern for the future of Greensboro
  • Have the interest and potential for building a community of engaged leaders open to all
  • Can complete the entire Other Voices program
  • Intend to seek leadership opportunities in the community.

  • Demonstrate a sincere commitment to improving inclusiveness in their organizations
  • Express genuine concern for the future of business in Greensboro
  • Have the interest in using their voice to advance diversity and inclusion in their workplace
