Since starting through our LaunchLab 101 and Growth programs in 2016, Freeman Capital has catapulted to the national stage.

The firm is the first black-owned, SEC-registered, automated wealth management platform. Its goal is to close the wealth gap for women and people of color.

Founder and CEO Calvin Williams says the Chamber’s entrepreneurship programs were a crucial building block for his success.

“I think that as a result of your investment in my time and energy and advice, it helped me to get where I am now,” he said in an episode of our impact. The Boro podcast.

Among his many accomplishments, Williams has been named to InvestmentNews’ 40 Under 40, won the Celebrating Black Founders Semifinals Challenge in 2020 and received a grant from Google for Black Entrepreneurs.

He has also been featured as a financial expert in national publications like the New York Times and Real Simple.
