Program Information

Experience Greensboro Objectives

  • Broaden your working knowledge of the community in a short period of time
  • Acquaint you with the key leaders and the decision making channels in Greensboro
  • Inform you of the issues and problems facing our community
  • Meet new people and expand your business and personal network and become more involved

Participants

Individuals who are new to the area, work in Greensboro but live in another county, or individuals who have lived in Greensboro but have never experienced the city with all it has to offer.

Program

Experience Greensboro is a 6-week program that meets every Tuesday from 8-12pm at various locations across the city. The first program day will end at 1pm with a lunch provided. The program highlights city government, economic development, arts/entertainment, healthcare, nonprofit organizations, and exposes participants to civic programs and volunteer opportunities available in Greensboro.

2024 Program Days: March 12, March 19, March 26, April 2, April 9, April 16

Attendance

The success of the program depends on the commitment of each participant to being present on each program day and to being on time. If you are unable to attend all 6 program days, it is suggested that you wait to apply to the next session. A participant may miss up to one day to still successfully complete the program.

Application Process

Applicants must complete application in full and submit by the deadline: February 15, 2024 by 5:00 pm.

The Investment

The fee for Experience Greensboro is $600 and applicants must be Chamber of Commerce Members. If you are unsure if your organization is a Chamber Member, please contact the Program Director.  Fee may be paid by the individual, an employer, agency, organization or other source. An invoice will be sent upon acceptance to the program and must be paid in full by February 29, 2024.  No refunds are made after the first program day and fee cannot be transferred or applied to a future session.
