“The Volunteer Center of the Triad strengthens our community by creating meaningful volunteer connections. We connect people, promote volunteerism, support nonprofits, and build partnerships. For over 50 years, The Volunteer Center has served the Guilford County community by connecting people to their passion through volunteering. This gives nonprofits throughout the community the strength to pursue theirs. The Volunteer Center stands strong as a vital link between the community and local nonprofit organizations, both large and small.”
How has COVID-19 impacted your business?
“We are working hard to ensure our nonprofit partners have the volunteers and donations needed so they can fulfill their missions. During these uncertain times, nonprofits are working harder than ever to serve our community.
One of the ways The Volunteer Center has been involved is to partner with agencies with the primary mission of serving those facing food insecurity. We are working closely with Guilford County Schools, Second Harvest Food Bank, BackPack Beginnings, United Way of Greater Greensboro,United Way of Greater High Point, Weaver Foundation, Out of the Garden Project, One Step Further, Senior Resources of Guilford, A Simple Gesture and others to help ensure crucial volunteer roles are being filled.
We have a COVID-19 page on our website that features ways to volunteer- both in person and virtually, as well as needed donations to various agencies.
As The Volunteer Center is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, we depend on individual and corporate donations! Please help us, as we work to help others.”
“We are honored to work with these amazing nonprofits in Guilford County. Our community really shows up! We saw it after the tornado two years ago and are seeing it again now – people are ready to help!”
