About
Giving back by paying it forward is the mantra of Rosa Foundation. Starting with an idea to create an edible gardening program spurred into developing other community outreach programs to support Rosa Foundation’s vision of Sowing Potential. Coupled with a mission of “provide, nurture, grow,” the foundation takes pride in being able to host a health and job fair, provide meals to seniors and frontline essential workers during the coronavirus pandemic, and honor male role models making positive impacts in their communities. This year Rosa Foundation developed a Mask Relief Effort by donating over 1,600 face coverings, with some provided by Tempur+Sealy. 1,000 face coverings were recently donated to the Guilford County School System to prepare students for back to classroom learning. The Foundation is also sponsoring a $1000 scholarship to allow a deserving high school senior an opportunity to further their educational endeavors in the performing arts. The scholarship will be awarded during the Men Making Positive Changes Award Ceremony on November 14, 2020. Due to social distancing requirements, the ceremony will be featured on Zoom via Facebook Live.

The Feed Our Community Program fed over 200 families. Rosa Foundation’s Mask Relief Effort donated over 1600 face coverings so far.
On November 14, 2020 at 7:00 p.m., Rosa Foundation will host its annual Men Making Positive Changes Award Ceremony on Zoom via Facebook Live. Four male role models will receive awards, and a $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior furthering their education.
