Triad City Beat is an alternative weekly media publication covering news, politics, arts, and culture in Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point.
Why Greensboro?
Greensboro is the third biggest city in terms of population in the state of North Carolina. There’s so much history, arts, culture, and a diverse array of people in this city. Being able to chronicle the transition of Greensboro from a once largely blue-collar town built on tobacco, textile, and furniture to a service based economy with college-educated professionals has helped us put our city on the map. Greensboro is a great mix of city and southern hospitality. There’s plenty to do around town, hidden gems to explore, and people to meet. While at the same time warm greetings, small talks, and lending a helping hand in times of need is the rule, not the exception.
We're a free newspaper which means we get all our funding from advertising. The support from members of the Chamber of Commerce has equipped our journalist to focus on their content and getting the story right more than how they're going to make ends meet.
Did you know?
That we’re here to make sure you know what’s going on in your community, at your children’s schools, and our local political systems. The good and the bad. We’re celebrating our 5 year anniversary this year and it’s great to have made it this long!
