About
We are a 501c3 faith-based organization focusing on exposing and enriching the lives of at-risk and underserved youth, teens and adults in Guilford County. Our goal is to create a qualified & competitive workforce for the 4 million STEM and I.T. jobs available in the U.S. We provide food pantry and community feedings to help eradicate hunger in Greensboro.
Why Greensboro?
Greensboro is a perfect place for our organization. Every night, 1 in 5 children go hungry. Also, there are over 300,000 females in Guilford County and only 5% of minorities realize the importance of STEM and I.T. Our goal is to decrease the education inequity in these fields for the communities we serve.
Did you know?
We just received a 2nd round of funding from CFGG’s Women to Women Fund. They have so graciously awarded us $20,000 to continue our implementation of the “Phenomenal Women in STEM” initiative. On Nov 1st, eight more women have completed their introductory courses. On Jan 8th, eight women will be pursuing their A+ certification, four women will be taking Microsoft Office Suite (Word & Excel) courses and we have 20 people on our waiting list. We’ve also received recognition from Senator Thom Tillis’ office for this great initiative. Our main goal is to expose at-risk youth to STEM and robotics. Through our endeavors. We’ve developed a team and participated in the NC FIRST this month. Our team, the Nehemiah Builders, received two awards as a rookie team. CONGRATS kids.
