Since 1962, The United Arts Council of Greater Greensboro dba ArtsGreensboro has served the local arts community by investing in arts organizations, programs, teachers and regional artists through a competitive grant program, as well as providing strategic leadership, advocacy, collaborative initiatives, and marketing services in advancing the arts as a transformational force for Greensboro. With the support of many through the annual ArtsFund campaign, ArtsGreensboro is the largest alliance of public and private resources dedicated to supporting the arts sector to continue to make Greensboro a creative, diverse and vibrant place to live and work.
Arts and culture play a fundamental role in our city’s livability and social structure. Measured in economic terms, our county’s arts industry has grown four-fold in just the last ten years – from an economic impact of $38 million in 2007 to over $162 million in 2017. With the city’s renewed focus through the Cultural Arts Master Plan and exciting new performance venues, the arts continue to be a driving force in our quality of life.

Working together we will keep the arts not just surviving but thriving. Our campaign theme this year is Better Together, chaired by ArtsGreensboro board member and chamber member, Jada Monica Drew. Special events include designating the month of April as I Heart Arts Month in partnership with the Greensboro Downtown Residents’ Association and local businesses to support our arts community.
