Schiffman’s Jewelers is a 5th generation family-owned company that specializes in jewelry and timepieces through personalized customer care, expert repair service and curated collections from the world’s top brands.
“Simon Schiffman, our first generation, stepped off a train in Greensboro to stretch his legs before completing his journey to Asheville in 1893. He saw a small jewelry store for sale on Elm Street, bought it, and the train went on without him. Simon saw a need for a jeweler in the area who understood quality jewelry and so he sold everything from the previous jeweler in a sidewalk sale, he didn’t feel represented his vision. Greensboro is and has been the perfect place for Schiffman’s because the community not only greatly supports local and family businesses but inspires us to give them the best experience they could have in the Triad and across the world.”
“The Chamber of Commerce has given Schiffman’s the opportunity to connect with members from across the community in a wide range of business and organizations – something that otherwise would be impossible for us to do on our own. Having our finger on the pulse of what is driving Greensboro’s growth and culture is an invaluable gift – one the Chamber gives us year after year.”
“We are donating a street clock this year that will be placed near the carousel being installed at the Greensboro Science Center. The clock will be in honor of the Greensboro Rotary Club and Mr. Arnold A. Schiffman, Sr. (who was a long-standing member and president of the club).”
“We have a 3rd member (there are 8 in total) from our 5th generation working for Schiffman’s. As of November 2018, Kiley Schiffman is our Director of Marketing. She is also a council member for SynerG and a co-chair for the Placemaking Committee. Anthony Schiffman works in our estate department and Ren Schiffman manages one of our sister stores in Richmond.”
