Get to know Reconsidered Goods!
Reconsidered Goods is a 501-(c)(3) non-profit that promotes creative expression, environmental awareness, and community engagement through education, reuse, and the arts. Through our retail location tons of donated materials from manufacturers and individuals are diverted from the landfill and instead, made available to artists, makers, teachers, and kids to create something new. Our reuse center features a retail store, workshop space, a maker’s lab, a sewing lab, and a community room for artists to meet and create together. Our Education Program is involved with public and private schools and many community organizations, as well as community events.
Three years ago, Paige attended a 4-day boot camp to be trained in opening a Creative Reuse Center in Greensboro. She knew that our local industries had many exciting manufacturing scraps that local artists would be able to use.
